Position Details: QA Data Engineer

Job Summary: As a skilled and experienced QA Data Engineer your role is key to ensuring data quality and pipeline reliability across our client's Azure-based data platforms. You'll contribute to the design, automation, and testing of complex ETL/ELT workflows to support analytics, AI, and reporting initiatives.

• Design and implement comprehensive QA strategies for data pipelines, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
• Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on data pipeline designs
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data pipelines.
• Execute tests to identify defects and ensure data integrity.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools and frameworks suitable for Azure Data Factory and Databricks
• Conduct performance testing to ensure data pipelines meet performance and scalability requirements
• Track and manage defects throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases and test results

Must Have:

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have

• Minimum of 05 years of experience in software and data testing.
• Atleast 03+ years experience with Azure Data Factory, Power BI and Azure Databricks is essential
• Advanced Math and Statistics skills (linear algebra, calculus, Bayesian statistics, mean, median, variance)
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and automated testing frameworks
• .
• Strong understanding of data pipeline architectures and ETL processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Desired:

• Relevant certifications in testing and Azure technologies are a plus

Education: Bachelor's Degree or above, preferably in Computer Science or related field
